McDonald's-inspired proposal goes awry | QSR Web

A marriage proposal is all about the delivery but in one instance the delivery went very wrong.

Someone who loves Kim, in Canada, and obviously loves McDonald's, decided to send his proposal of marriage via the fast-food chain using the DoorDash delivery option.

But the order landed in the hands of another customer, according to an AOL report, and the unintended recipient shared the experience on the social site Reddit.

"So I ordered McDonald's via DoorDash and found this in the bag," the Reddit user wrote, sharing a photo of the delivery. "Not only did the DoorDash driver get my order wrong, but I think he messed up some poor dude's plans..."

The Post quickly went viral with nearly 2,000 comments.

Some feedback included DoorDash drivers noting they just deliver bags from the fast food chain and don't look into taped bags.

The mix up, as the news report noted, may have saved the proposer embarrassment given the very recent similar gesture at a McDonald's South Africa store. In that event, the chap proposing was shot down "savagely" by the intended fiancée, noted the AOL report.
